Gympie Times Cartoons 1985 June _ July

What does a regional town's cartoonist draw?...more of the same!

08 June 1985 - A mayor needs to be sure his Councilors support his moves.
So many cartoon ideas came from combining separate local events.

15 June 1985 - More theatre in town links with "disuse" of the Deputy Mayor.

22 June 1985 - The two Shire Councils are up to something. Stay tuned.

29 June 1985 - Everything stops when the temperature drops!
The essential remedy has to be the local crop - pineapples!

6 July 1985 - Extension -"to go a bit further".

13 July 1985 - Gympie was never very far from its Gold Mining glory. Nuggety Bill, the town's unofficial emblem, had to be in on the game.

20 July 1985 - Every town is proud of its Municipal Band. Gympie's was excellent - but how could a cartoonist not link Sound with Name

27 July 1985 - The game must go on, right?
